AshAsh Bramblett – Minister of Youth

I came to know Christ through the lives of my parents and the witness of a friend my freshman year in high school. During my college years at Auburn University, God began to lead me, through various experiences and relationships, towards a calling in vocational ministry. I live with three dazzling beauties, my wife Christy, and my daughters India and Alice. I love God’s Word (written and incarnate), Reading, Teaching, Theology, History (especially Church, Revolutionary, and Civil War), My Scots- Irish heritage, Movies, Comics, Comics made into Movies, College Football (Auburn Football in particular), Coffee, Buffets, t-shirts, nostalgia and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church!

I’m a single dad of 2 boys, an aircraft mechanic, love movies, adventure, sports, challenges, and traveling. Hangin out with friends is the style of summer and it never gets old. GOD is the creator of all and His will is divine.

I made my way to Pleasant Grove over almost 2 years ago when I started dating Josh and stayed here once we got married! I came down to Tennessee from Ohio and went to UT. I was very involved in my youth group in Ohio and at UT was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. Josh and I got married in May 09′ and are really enjoying being a part of this church. I love getting involved with youth and watching them grow in their relationships with the Lord. It has been fun and entertaining getting to know the kids at PGBC and am excited about the future of this youth group.

I am a Fly-Fishing guide and I love to fish on my personal time. My wife and I have our own Guiding business. I  love to work with the youth group as well. I see myself as a kid at heart, so I think it is what makes me perfect for the job. I think our youth group is special and we have a lot of great kids. I think they should all learn how to Fly-Fish… but that will come with time.

ChrisChris Atkins – Youth Volunteer.

I am originally from Texas but grew up here at Pleasant Grove.  Ash was a youth leader when I was in youth, and that is where we got to be friends.  I play drums for the Praise Band and enjoy fishing, turkey-hunting, and riding my bike.
